St. George's, Sheffield
This site was an integral part of the St George´s Quarter master regeneration plan and helped dramatically to transform the area.
26 weeks of demolition works removed 245 derelict tenement flats to allow development to the new buildings.
The contemporary scheme provided residents with semi-public courtyards and a small cluster of ancillary facilities at the core to encourage day and evening activity and promote a safe, inclusive atmosphere.
Oconメs procurement team were involved at the land acquisition and planning stages of this project and this early involvement paid dividends.
Our participation in all aspects of the design process not only provided our client with more commercial certainty, but also made best use of our designers and main subcontractors in developing the right solution for this large project.
